Main tasks in the project
The Delft node performs the scientific and project coordination of the research program.
The experimental activities will involve device fabrication in the Kavli Nanolab facility, and low temperature electronic transport measurements in dry dilution refrigerators equipped with vector magnetic field at QuTech. The measurements will be performed both in the DC and in the microwave domain. The project will benefit from the existing cryogenic measurement setups, mechanical workshop, custom-built low noise measurement electronics and a helium liquefier.
The corresponding activities in the theory domain will benefit from the computer cluster with >1000 cores that can be used for the simulation of hybrid nanodevices. The activities of the consortium will utilize KWANT, a powerful Python-based numerical package with a strong focus on quantum transport. This software has been co-developed by Michael Wimmer and Anton Akhmerov.
